Domingo tweeted "Going home" and posted a picture of himself getting into a car. The 72-year-old Spaniard posted the same message on his Facebook account. The operatic tenor, who is general director of the Los Angeles Opera, was forced to cancel several appearances due to his illness but is expected to make a full recovery in three to four weeks, his publicist said on Tuesday. ...

The bull run at San Fermin - made famous by Ernest Hemingway in his novel "The Sun Also Rises" - is one of hundreds in Spain every year and attracts large numbers of foreign visitors. Doctor must be present for drug-induced abortion in Missouri

By Kevin Murphy KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Reuters) - A doctor will have to be present for any drug-induced abortion in Missouri starting on August 28 because Governor Jay Nixon on Friday allowed a measure passed by the state legislature to become law without his signature. Nixon, a Democrat, said he decided not to sign the law and made no further comment. The law applies to the so-called "abortion pill," RU-486 or any other abortion inducing chemical. ...

U.S. sentences man in latest fake cancer drug case

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A Montana man charged with selling unapproved cancer drugs was sentenced to five years probation and six months of home confinement, U.S. law enforcement authorities said on Friday. He was also forced to forfeit some $6 million in assets. The case is the latest in roughly a dozen brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and Food and Drug Administration against distributors of unapproved pharmaceuticals. Although the vast majority of apple juice that has been tested by the FDA over the years has contained low levels of inorganic arsenic that were considered safe, the FDA has been wrestling whether to set limits because of the cancer risk. ...
