Actress Jenny McCarthy to join "The View"  Monday, Jul 15, 2013 10:49 AM PDT NEW YORK (Reuters) - Actress and comedian Jenny McCarthy will be joining ABC's popular daytime talk show "The View" in September for the start of its 17th season, the network said on Monday. Barbara Walters, a founder of the show, said McCarthy will be a permanent co-host just days after commentator Elizabeth Hasselbeck said she was leaving the show after 10 years. The photos showed Lawson, hugely popular in Britain for her television cooking shows, in tears and brought Saatchi, a former advertising tycoon, a police caution for assault, though he tried to play down the incident as a "playful tiff". ... Crime novel turns bestseller after JK Rowling revealed as author  Monday, Jul 15, 2013 05:30 AM PDT By Amritha John LONDON (Reuters) - A detective novel secretly written by J.K. Rowling surged to the top of bestseller lists on Monday after the true identity of the author was revealed, embarrassing some publishers who had rejected the manuscript. Rowling, whose Harry Potter series made her Britain's best-selling author, posed as a retired military policeman called Robert Galbraith to write "The Cuckoo's Calling", only to see her cover blown at the weekend by a Sunday newspaper. Surviving copies of Magna Carta to be reunited for first time  Monday, Jul 15, 2013 04:20 AM PDT By Adam Jourdan LONDON (Reuters) - The four surviving original copies of Britain's Magna Carta, the document that first defined government powers as limited by law, will be brought together in 2015 for the first time to mark the charter's 800-year anniversary. The British Library said on Monday the four documents, currently held by Lincoln Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral and two by the British Library, would be united at the national library in London for a three-day exhibition. ... "Glee" star Cory Monteith dead in Vancouver hotel room at 31  Sunday, Jul 14, 2013 05:16 PM PDT By Alex Dobuzinskis (Reuters) - Canadian actor Cory Monteith, 31-year-old heartthrob of Fox's musical comedy television series "Glee", was found dead on Saturday in his Vancouver hotel room, police said. Police and paramedics found no signs of foul play and the cause of death was not clear, British Columbia Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe said at a news conference. Monteith's representatives issued a statement, saying, "We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss" but offering no details on the possible cause of death. ... Full Story	Top
