Soccer-France defender Tremoulinas follows Belhanda to Kiev

KIEV, July 12 (Reuters) - France defender Benoit Tremoulinas has left Girondins Bordeaux and signed a four-year contract with Dynamo Kiev, the club said on their website (www.fcdynamo.kiev.ua). He is the second major signing of the close season for the Ukrainian championship runners-up who also bought Morocco midfielder Younes Belhanda from Montpellier last month for an undisclosed fee. The attack-minded Tremoulinas, 27, is expected to play on the left side of the defence. He played 165 games for Bordeaux after joining the French club in 2007, scoring five goals. ...

The 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196 in which five-time Formula 1 world champion driver Juan Manuel Fangio won two grands prix, also became the most expensive Mercedes-Benz ever sold, auction house Bonhams said. July 12 (Reuters) - Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews has been banned for two one-day internationals for maintaining a slow over rate during the one-wicket defeat by India at the Tri-Nation series final in Trinidad on Thursday. Sri Lanka's players were fined 40 percent of their match fees after the team were ruled to be three overs short of their target at the end of the match in Port of Spain, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a statement on Friday.
