The move is Icahn's latest effort to block a $24.4 billion buyout offer, of $13.65 per share, from company founder Michael Dell and private equity firm Silver Lake. AT&T to buy Leap Wireless for $1.19 billion in cash Friday, Jul 12, 2013 03:37 PM PDT (Reuters) - AT&T Inc said on Friday it will acquire prepaid wireless provider Leap Wireless International Inc in a deal valued at about $4 billion, including debt as large carriers scramble to accumulate valuable spectrum. Under the agreement, AT&T will acquire all of Leap's stock and approximately 5 million subscribers for $15 per share in cash or about $1.2 billion. Microsoft pushes U.S. Customs to enforce phone import ban Friday, Jul 12, 2013 03:16 PM PDT WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp, which won a ban last year on importing some phones made by a Google Inc subsidiary, filed a motion in a U.S. court on Friday asking the U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection to enforce the measure. The U.S. International Trade Commission, which hears a long list of high-tech patent complaints, said in May 2012 that Google's Motorola Mobility infringed a Microsoft patent for generating and synchronizing calendar items.
